LJS: Snyder announces health care plan

By Lincoln Journal Star

Jayne Snyder on health care: Snyder said increasing health care jobs will be a priority if she’s elected.

And she says her experience in the health care field would help her do that.

Her plan: Review health care position needs in Lincoln — including within the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging — and determine whether federal funds could be used to support health care infrastructure. Prioritize infrastructure dollars to support higher ed programs. Encourage enrollment and scholarships for nursing programs to address local shortage.

She also urged local leaders to work together to determine how best to use federal stimulus dollars.

“I look forward to building bridges and finding common ground within city government so we can take full advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead,” she said.
